While both are considered recreational vehicles, Class C motorhomes are oversized, maintenance-intensive, top-heavy camper shells placed atop a standard 12- or 15-passenger van chassis. Most Class C units have the same engines, transmissions, tires, and cooling systems as standard cargo or passenger vans. Many feel this design offers a less comfortable ride due to poorly displaced weight on the vehicle’s wheels. Class A motorhomes are bus-type units specifically built to accommodate extra weight. Additionally, Class A motorhomes are equipped with large diesel engines, Allison transmissions, heavy-duty chassis, and air brake systems. Class A recreational vehicles are considered easier to drive with a more solid and comfortable ride.
If you would like to purchase additional RV rental insurance, you have multiple options. Contact your insurance agent to see if coverage is available under your current policy and if that coverage will transfer over to an RV rental. If you encounter any issues with securing insurance through your existing policy, we can work directly with your insurance company to help you obtain coverage. If coverage under your own policy is unavailable, we can direct you to our own insurance carrier to secure your coverage needs.
Yes, our team will provide you with comprehensive training on your specific rental unit before you hit the road. This training allows you to safely operate the RV and access all of its features. For experienced users, this training may only take 30 minutes to learn the specifics of a particular unit. However, first-time RV renters may need an hour or more to complete the training. If you require more time, we’ll happily accommodate your needs to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident in operating your RV rental.
The number of passengers depends on the particular RV. The rule of thumb is one person for every seatbelt in the RV. However, children should be placed in safety seats at all times while driving.
Since pets are part of the family they are welcome in select rental units. Prior authorization and an additional fee per animal are required to accommodate pets. Although we offer designated pet-friendly rental motorhomes, their designs may have certain limitations. Be sure to contact a representative at 866-838-4465 for any questions or concerns you may have regarding our pet-friendly RV rentals.
No, smoking in our rental motorhomes is strictly prohibited and financial penalties for violating this rule are strictly enforced.
Each of our RV rentals includes full convenience and hospitality kits with fresh linens, pillows, blankets, and towels. Full-service galleys include dishes, flatware, glassware, pots and pans, convection and microwave ovens, a toaster, a coffee maker, and utensils. Many units also feature washers and dryers. All you really need to bring are your clothes, personal items, and favorite food and beverages. We also offer exceptional concierge service.
You will have to pay for your own campsites, activities, tolls, fuel, and your favorite food and beverages.
Our rental coaches generally get about 8 to 12 MPG. However, there are several variables (RV size, terrain type, personal driving habits, etc) that can affect fuel economy.
Towing is permitted in some cases. Restrictions do apply, so please contact us for more details.
In most cases, in-motion satellite service is available. The majority of our rental units are equipped with an in-motion satellite system. Rental units are also equipped with DVD players that also work while the motorhome is in motion.
While our motorhomes are meticulously maintained, these complex systems occasionally and unexpectedly malfunction. That’s why each of our RVs includes nationwide, 24/7 road assistance and round-the-clock technical support. During the checkout and orientation process, we’ll provide you with a direct phone number for your own personal, on-call technical support concierge. We have top-rate representatives who normally resolve 99% of all issues over the phone, and, if necessary, can dispatch a mobile service representative directly to your location. You can rest assured that Allstar Coaches cares about your vacation and has your back!
RV rental pickups and deliveries normally start at 9:00 AM. All rentals must be returned one hour before sundown on the designated return date. Motorhome rentals offer vacationers the most value for their travel dollars because RV travel incorporates transportation, lodging, meals, and entertainment. The larger your group, the more economical an RV rental becomes. By renting an RV you don’t have to incur the expenses associated with airline tickets, hotel rooms, rental cars, or dining out. Plus, an RV rental allows you to travel in comfort and luxury without enduring crowded airports, security screenings, and checked baggage fees. With an RV rental, getting to your destination is fun – and economical!
Most reputable campgrounds have full facilities with adequate power, water, sewers, and cable TV hookups that can accommodate large motorhomes. Ideally, you’ll want to lodge at a full-hookup site with 50 AMP power. Hooking up to the campground’s facilities is surprisingly easy, and we’ll show just how to do it during the checkout process. Also, many resorts offer pull-thru sites that are much easier to navigate in and out of.
We do offer basic trip planning assistance to our customers at no additional charge. Also, our website has a comprehensive resources page with links to some of the country’s best campgrounds and popular RV parks/resorts. We also offer pre-packaged RV vacations with pre-arranged custom itinerary plans that take care of every detail of your trip. Contact Allstar Coaches for details.
